About Us
Chainway Labs is seeking a Community Lead to join our team at Citrea, Bitcoin’s First ZK Rollup.
At Citrea, our goal is to secure on-chain finance with Bitcoin. We believe that Bitcoin and its values should be scaled to serve as the standard for decentralized finance. Achieving this vision requires scaling Bitcoin with zero-knowledge proofs, ensuring on-chain verifiability and data availability within the Bitcoin network.
This approach makes Citrea the first scaling solution to enable more complex applications without compromising Bitcoin security and changing its consensus rules.
The Role
We are looking for a Community Lead who will be responsible for building, growing and sustaining Citrea’s community. The ideal candidate is a crypto native people’s person who has been in the weeds of Discord and different crypto communities. This role requires a creative approach to building crypto communities and high awareness of the sector’s best and worst practices.
Working very closely with the marketing team, the ideal candidate will be responsible for building, managing and scaling an active and engaged community who cares about Citrea’s journey.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies to create and maintain an engaged community that reflects Citrea’s brand.
Be part of the community you are creating and actively engage with them on Discord.
Channel our community’s energy and growth to other platforms such as our X account.
Manage and oversee Discord moderators and other parties helping us with community growth.
Analyze competitors’ and the sector’s community building strategies and implementations, adapt accordingly.
Measure the effectiveness of community growth strategies and be always aware of community’s feedback.
Required Skills
Minimum 1 year of experience as a full time employee in a Community Lead or a similar role within crypto
Expertise in using and managing Discord
Experience in organizing long and short-term community programs from ambassador programs to weekly Discord activities
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to extract insights from community interactions and effectively communicate them with the marketing team
Excellent communication skills in English
Comfortable in working in a dynamic start-up environment
Bonus: Familiarity with the Bitcoin community
