Here’s the bit about the opportunity:

The position is based in Singapore and reports directly to the General Counsel of Privacy and Business Affairs. In addition to your direct reporting line, you will work closely with the APAC VP of sales on strategic client matters and the Managing Director, Financial Markets & Head of APAC on advocacy and product issues. Your experience in the practice of law and your expertise on APAC financial markets issues will make you a persuasive and effective advisor to management and customers and a strong candidate for this role.

You will work with business partners in a dynamic and fast-paced environment driving meaningful impact. You should be comfortable working in a technical, software development environment alongside product, engineering, finance, sales, and marketing professionals.

You’ll be:

• Focused on some of our largest commercial transactions in support of our SaaS services. You will be drafting and negotiating a wide variety of contracts with the leading financial institutions of the world.
• Learning new technologies, products and practice areas without much precedence.
• Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to deliver pragmatic guidance as part of the overall product design and business roadmap
• Involved in developing the legal infrastructure for our products building the procedures between the legal team and the other client-facing teams across the company
• Identifying potential risk and advising the company executive team on ways to mitigate such risk
• Advising clients on the various legal risks, business strategies, and other product and regulatory issues related to commercial transactions and general operations.
• Creating templates and advising on implementation.
• Consulting with the executive team on company-wide legal topics.

You’ll bring:

• Experience working within a technology company, preferably with a SaaS or Software offering.
• Background in Financial services, fintech, blockchain, cybersecurity, or crypto industry
• J.D. or LL.B accredited from a law school
• Experience at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house experience with Internet or technology companies and/or SaaS companies, preferred.
• Experience as a team player who enjoys partnering with cross-functional teams to solve issues and work collaboratively to generate consensus across diverse points of view
• Experience negotiating complex technology transactions on a global basis
• Fastidious attention to detail in both oral and written communications
