Inca Digital
Inca Digital (https꞉//inca.digital/) is a Digital Asset Data and Intelligence Company started in 2018.
Inca serves clients across national security, intelligence, leading crypto exchanges, large financial institutions, regulators, and law enforcement.
Inca operates as a fast paced, nimble, global, and remote technology company. We leverage an asynchronous‑first workflow, try to minimize time spent on meetings, believe in logic over authority and open‑debate. We don’t track hours, or care where you work from, as long as timelines are met and work is delivered.
Work alongside some of the sharpest minds in the world, including intelligence analysts, defense veterans, data engineers, quant researchers, linguists, and more.
Inca Digital is seeking a Head of Media Relations to lead our external visibility and secure impactful coverage across global financial, technology, and policy outlets. In this role, you will act as a "Brand Agent"—identifying high-impact stages, funneling market trends into our intelligence pipeline, and ensuring our technical intelligence is translated into clear, authoritative narratives for the world’s leading journalists and institutional audiences.
Inca's research and leadership have already earned a seat at the table with major media:
Inca CEO Adam Zarazinski on Good Morning America, breaking down the rise of Bitcoin ATM scams: https://inca.digital/news/bitcoin-atm-scams/
Inca Senior Advisor Jake Sims quoted by Financial Times on the extradition of Prince Holding Group's Chen Zhi: https://inca.digital/news/ft-cambodia/
Inca intelligence reporting featured in CoinDesk, setting the narrative on FTX-related AI fraud: https://inca.digital/news/ftx-ai-fraud/
Your primary objective is to develop and execute a comprehensive media strategy that elevates Inca’s reputation as a signal in a high-noise industry, ultimately supporting our institutional growth.
Media Distribution & Opportunity Development
Strategic Placement: Identify and secure high-value media opportunities, including tier-one print interviews, podcast appearances, TV segments, and industry keynote panels.
Narrative & Intelligence Ideation: Serve as the primary funnel for external market signals. Proactively identify emerging news cycles, industry trends, and media "white space," feeding these ideas to the marketing and investigations teams for technical follow-up. You will collaborate on the resulting "so what?" to ensure our data-driven responses are strategically aligned with media demand.
Social Media Amplification: Leverage platforms like X and LinkedIn to amplify earned media, distribute internal research, and engage with the broader financial intelligence and crypto communities to drive organic distribution.
Proactive Outreach: Build and maintain an active network of reporters, producers, and editors. You are expected to be persistent in opening doors and establishing Inca as the go-to source for breaking crypto-risk analysis.
Engagement Management: Lead the end-to-end organization of media engagements. This includes coordinating schedules, managing technical requirements for recordings, and ensuring all follow-up (data requests, mentions, links) is executed.
Media Sentiment Analysis: Monitor global coverage to track brand sentiment and identify emerging trends where Inca’s data can provide the definitive analysis.
Event & Conference Strategy
Conference Leadership: Lead Inca’s participation in major industry conferences. Own the logistics and substance of our presence, ensuring that the team members in attendance are strategically positioned.
Relationship Events: Organize and execute high-touch networking events, including happy hours, private dinners, and journalist meet-and-greets.
In-Person Networking: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists and media outlets through regular in-person engagement (travel required).
Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience in public or media relations, journalism, or corporate communications.
Personal Traits: Must be a proactive self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity. You are highly organized, reliable, and capable of working independently in a fully remote workplace.
Cold Pitching & Media Outreach: High level of comfort with cold pitching and proactive outreach to journalists, producers, and editors to build a network and secure placements from scratch.
Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal ability. You can navigate complex or sensitive issues and use social media as an amplification tool.
Networking & Location: Demonstrated ability to network in crypto, finance, or political circles. Proximity or easy access to the Northeast Corridor (D.C./NYC) is an advantage.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
U.S. Citizenship: Preferred to facilitate participation in sensitive conversations related to federal contracts.
Industry Context: Experience in a technology-focused role or industry; familiarity with the digital asset ecosystem, blockchain, or fintech.
Established Network: Existing relationships with top-tier financial or technology media outlets.
Technical Literacy: Experience with GitHub or similar project management tools for task tracking.
