Job Description

The IT Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in overseeing the management and implementation of core infrastructure for IT Operations within Mesh. This position involves developing tools, managing system processes, and ensuring compliance with company standards. Success in this role is measured through the effective optimization and standardization of procedures associated with IT systems and services.

This is a remote position and based in the European timezone.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute assigned projects and tasks while supporting the organization.
• Lead and implement day-to-day operational improvements and system enhancements.
• Administer and optimize key technologies such as Okta, Kandji, Intune, and other essential business technologies.
• Participate and execute against compliance tasks and requirements for SOC2 and GDPR.
• Collaborate on the design and update of Standard Operating Procedures.
• Collaborate within the organization to ensure alignment with company objectives and standards.
• Uphold and advocate for best IT security practices.
• Produce comprehensive operational documentation for systems.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience supporting technical organizations
• Ability to work independently and address complex issues within IT Systems & Infrastructure.
• Understanding of APIs and their utilization
• Capability of scripting to build automations and internal tooling
• Utilization of Terraform for building out infrastructure.
• Experience with System Management Platforms such as Jamf, Automox, and Intune
• Experience with Mac, Linux systems, and Azure
• Proficiency in code collaboration using Git such as Github & Github Actions
• Familiarity with Project management and workflow tools like Agile and Jira
• Experience in implementing and supporting open-source technologies
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey processes and protocols effectively
• Experience in applying change management procedures to complete project and task work
• Ability to manage and run projects from initialization to completion
