Overview

Mesh is seeking a highly motivated, hands-on Accountant to join our fast-growing team. You will play a critical role in scaling our financial operations while maintaining and implementing accounting systems and controls. You will be responsible for maintaining financial records, overseeing financial audits and month-end procedures. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a scaling organization with exposure to executive leadership and growth within the crypto industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own month-end close process end-to-end.
• Manage invoicing, payments, and collections, ensuring timely processing of transactions.
• Maintain up-to-date general ledger entries, journals, and accounting records for all transactions, including for digital assets.
• Assist in preparation for audits, working with external auditors as needed.
• Design, implement, and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Track and analyze business expenses, looking for opportunities to optimize costs.
• Ensure that the company complies with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Work cross-functionally to support business needs and ensure smooth financial operations.
• Assist in the development and improvement of financial processes and accounting systems.
• Implement scalable solutions for automation and efficiency as the company grows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in accounting, Big 4 audit experience is a plus.
• Previous experience working with, or at, a crypto/FinTech company is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (such as GAAP) and financial regulations.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting, tax, and audit processes.
• Knowledge or strong interest in crypto, blockchain, and Web3 is a must.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• A growth mindset and the ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly evolving environment.
