🙌🏼 What you will be doing

Reporting into our Chief People Officer, the Senior People Operations Specialist, will be working within our Core People Operations sub-function and supporting across all of our business areas, working within our tightly knit People team. You will focus all activities across the Core People Operations space in Poland and select emerging markets. The role will have accountability for managing key People Operations initiatives end-to-end across all touchpoints of the entire employee lifecycle from the offer process for new hires, through to onboarding, induction, performance management, pay reviews, Learning and Development, payroll and benefits, as well as offboarding. You’ll focus on building our Core People Operations engine in Poland and in select emerging markets, ensuring we can scale our operation efficiently and seamlessly.

Whilst Core People Operations will be your primary focus, you will partner with peers in People Experience and Talent on various initiatives too, we’re a start-up, so you’ll have to roll your sleeves up and wear multiple hats depending on the business focus and objectives at any given time. We don’t bind you to a job description.

🧩 What you will be working on

  • People Systems & Tools - ensuring all our People platforms are optimised, form part of a cohesive eco-system and are aligned with the organisational and People team needs
  • Employee relations (ER) - owning employee relations across our Polish team member base, assessing the impact of ER on the organisation, spotting and dealing with issues before they arise and defining the approach to ER across the group
  • Compensation, Reward and Benefits - collaborating with the Talent and People Experience team to define our reward philosophy, ensuring it aligns with organisational goals. Responsibility for the operational execution of all Reward related activities.
  • Core people workflows, processes and policies - collaborating with People Ops team to support the continuous iteration of core people workflows and processes including payroll, performance management, onboarding, offboarding ensuring they are informed by data, are scalable and automated. Anticipate changes and developments in prevailing Polish labour law ensuring formal documentation is updated and compliant. Handling sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity at all times
  • Data and Insights - maintain clean datasets ensuring all Core People activities are informed by data. Communicating emerging issues to the organisation and key stakeholders by sharing meaningful data linked to the company objectives. Setting key performance and quality metrics which measure tangible outcomes, and efficacy, enabling elevated experiences and informing critical business decisions
  • People Partnering - building the most trusted and strongest partnerships with managers and team members , providing counsel, guiding, directing and advising on the most favourable options relating to people. Resolving challenges, disputes and friction between all levels in the organisations, acting as a problem solver and negotiator to ensure delivery pace
  • Learning and Organisational Development - collaborate with the People & Culture Partner to define the framework and criteria for high potential and high performer retention and development, including succession planning.
  • People Experience - support the People & Culture Partner with key People Experience activities including events, learning initiatives and engagement.

  • Experience in leading end-to-end People Operations, including a deep knowledge of People systems, core processes and policies.
  • A thorough understanding of Polish labour law and understanding of employment tax and payroll processing in Poland.
  • An ability to deliver at pace and demonstrable experience in scaling and automating key workflows.
  • Expertise in stakeholder management and ability to ensure relationships are built quickly and close bonds are formed.
  • Experience in the startup realm that gives you an edge and the ability to thrive amidst chaos, turning challenges into opportunities.
  • A strong personality, comfort with ambiguity and experimentation, you’re unafraid to make mistakes and able to learn quickly
  • A strong focus on continuous improvement and iterative delivery
  • A collaborative working style, the ability to inspire trust and integrity
  • An ability to craft compelling and authentic narratives about our company culture, mission, and day-to-day operation
  • Love for ownership, autonomy and focus on outcomes and achieving goals.
  • A strong focus on the employee experience and a natural ability to influence it
  • Proven experience with various people platforms (HRIS) and tools to streamline onboarding, screening, induction, performance management, payroll and offboarding.

P&C

  • Craft in cooperation with People and Culture Partner comprehensive L&D knowledge base and engaging L&D sessions
  • Support the delivery of impactful presentations for all-hands meetings, for leaders.
  • Supporting Leaders and C-level in resolving issues related to team performance and employee life cycle.
  • In collaboration with the People and Culture Partner, lead the Performance Review and Satisfaction Survey process.
  • Analyze employee feedback and create insightful reports.
  • Plan & execute fun and engaging events and D&I initiatives.
  • You would play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and positive employee experience at every stage, from pre-boarding to exit.
  • Partner with various departments on projects related to People & Culture.
  • Build a comprehensive L&D knowledge base.
