The Role: Your Mission

As our CFO, you will lead the financial strategy, controls, and operational discipline of a fast-growing multinational fintech. Your focus will be on strengthening core financial functions—global tax planning, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), budgeting, and audit—to ensure scalability, compliance, and long-term profitability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Global Tax Planning & Optimization

  • Develop and execute a global tax strategy, including transfer pricing and cross-border tax efficiencies.
  • Manage tax compliance and risk across multiple jurisdictions.

2. Financial Planning & Budgeting

  • Lead FP&A to provide data-driven insights for strategic decisions.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling.

3. Audit, Accounting & Compliance

  • Ensure robust US GAAP financial reporting and internal controls.
  • Lead external and internal audits, ensuring full compliance for every party.

4. Treasury & Capital Management

  • Manage capital structure, cash flow, and corporate treasury.
  • Oversee risk management and fund strategies.

5. Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Serving as the primary spokesperson to the English-speaking external parties (such as board members, investment banks, auditors, etc)
  • Partner with the CEO on corporate strategy and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Masters degree with proven experience as a CFO or Senior Finance Executive (e.g., VP of Finance/Financial Controller)
  • Preferably serve as a Leader in a US-listed company
  • Strong hands-on experience with US GAAP, audits, and public company compliance.
  • Deep expertise in global tax planning, transfer pricing, and multi-jurisdictional tax strategy.
  • Strong background in accounting and audit (Big 4 experience highly valued).
  • Native/near-native English speaker with bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese.
  • Relocation to Hong Kong (Visa will be sponsored).
