Role Overview

As our Senior Executive Officer for Gelephu Mindfulness City, Bhutan (“GMC”)will be responsible for the day-to-day management, supervision and control of our local entity’s Regulated Activities in GMC, establishing and scaling our operations, ensuring full compliance with local financial regulations (including GFSO requirements), and building strategic partnerships. This leader will have deep expertise in fintech and crypto payments, with a proven track record in launching and managing regulated financial services.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory & Licensing Leadership

  • Secure all necessary licenses (including GMC Financial Services License) ) for operating a Web3 payment business in GMC.
  • Navigate GFSO requirements.

Business Setup & Operations

  • Establish legal entities, banking relationships, and local partnerships.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for crypto/fiat payment solutions in GMC.
  • Hire and lead local teams (compliance, business development, tech).

Growth & Partnerships

  • Build relationships with banks, fintechs, crypto exchanges, and merchants.
  • Drive customer acquisition (B2B & B2C) and revenue growth.
  • Represent the company at industry events and with regulators.

Risk & Compliance

  • Implement robust KYC/AML policies aligned with GMC law.
  • Monitor regulatory changes affecting crypto/fintech in GMC.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years in fintech, payments, or crypto, with 2+ years in a senior leadership role (C-Suite, Director or Regulatory Lead).
  • Deep knowledge of ADGM financial regulations and experience securing licenses.
  • Strong network in banking, fintech, and crypto ecosystems.
  • Experience launching payment processors, digital wallets, or crypto exchanges .
  • Fluent in English.
  • Passion for Web3, blockchain, and decentralized finance (DeFi).
