Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytically strong Corporate Finance Associate to join our team. You will play a critical role in evaluating potential acquisition targets, investment opportunities, and strategic partnerships. Your work will focus heavily on financial due diligence (FDD) and building/validating financial models to support high-stakes decision-making in a dynamic crypto-fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive financial due diligence on potential targets, including analysis of historical financial statements, quality of earnings (QoE), working capital, debt & debt-like items, and normalization adjustments.
  • Build, maintain, and stress-test detailed financial models (3-statement, DCF, LBO, scenario/sensitivity analysis) to assess valuation, synergies, and post-deal financial performance.
  • Identify key financial risks, opportunities, business drivers, and potential deal breakers; benchmark against industry peers in fintech, payments, and digital assets.
  • Prepare clear, insightful due diligence reports, presentations, and data rooms for senior leadership and investment committee.
  • Support post-acquisition integration planning through financial analysis and performance tracking.
  • Stay updated on fintech market trends, accounting standards and regulatory developments in Hong Kong and key markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field with excellent academic background
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in Financial Due Diligence, Transaction Services, or Investment Banking. Big 4 background is highly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (complex formulas, macros, scenario tools).
  • Solid understanding of financial statement analysis, QoE, net working capital, and purchase price adjustments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent in English, Fluent in Chinese
