The Opportunity

Join our Legal team as a foundational operational member supporting the Regulatory Counsel and the Company Secretary. You will own the end-to-end handling of law-enforcement and regulatory Requests for Information (RFIs), and provide essential administrative legal support to the wider team.

This is a high-visibility, process-driven role in a fast-growing crypto payments environment. You will collaborate with senior management and external counsel while developing broad exposure to licensing, regulatory compliance, and financial-crime response work.

Key Responsibilities

1. Law Enforcement & Regulatory Requests for Information (RFIs)

  • Monitor and process all incoming regulatory requests
  • Log requests on the Masterlist – Police RFIs; create and maintain dedicated case folders on the shared Legal Drive.
  • Conduct authenticity checks on requesting officers and agencies (public-source verification, letterhead validation, official website confirmation).
  • Issue holding replies where documentation is incomplete, not in English, or authenticity cannot be confirmed.
  • Locate users via the Compliance Platform and Sumsub using identifiers (wallet address, transaction hash, name, IBAN, card number); extract KYC data, ID documents, authentication selfies, and relevant transaction records.
  • Consolidate all findings and respond to the requests
  • Prepare and update the internal team where there are additional action points (e.g. freeze request).

2. Legal Administration & Document Management

  • File, organise and maintain legal advice, opinions, internal memos and external counsel correspondence in the shared Legal Drive / matter management system.
  • Maintain matter trackers, deadline calendars and status logs for ongoing regulatory and legal workstreams.
  • Draft and proof-read routine correspondence, holding letters, acknowledgements and simple templates under supervision.
  • Assist with general legal administrative tasks including payment requests, document retrieval, and coordination with external counsel and internal stakeholders.

3. General Administrative Support

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of RFI, KYB and legal-admin processes and templates.
  • Help process internal approvals (e.g. payment requests, contract approvals)
  • Create systems to improve database maintenance and information access
  • Provide general administrative assistance to the Legal Department & the Company Secretary.

What You Need

Education & Experience

  • A graduate degree from a reputable university
  • Preferred 1–2 years of experience in private practice, in-house legal/compliance, or a regulated financial-services / fintech environment.
  • Prior exposure to law-enforcement requests, RFIs, KYC/KYB processes, regulatory correspondence or legal administration is a strong advantage. Experience in payments or crypto is highly valued.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail; able to manage multiple concurrent matters while maintaining accurate records and audit trails.
  • Clear, professional written communication; comfortable organising legal documentation.
  • Quick learner who can master internal systems (e.g Google suit office software) and work accurately under time pressure.
  • Proactive, reliable, discreet and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth fintech environment.
