Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on infrastructure and reliability leader to own the stability, architecture, automation, and incident response of our production platform. You will set operational standards, guide platform evolution, lead major incident response, and develop the engineering team in partnership with R&D, Security, Product, and business leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the architecture, technical roadmap, and operational standards for production, staging, and test environments.
  • Build and evolve secure, scalable, observable, and resilient platforms across cloud infrastructure, networking, compute, storage, Kubernetes, databases, and middleware.
  • Lead major production incidents from triage and impact containment through service recovery, post-incident review, and verified long-term fixes.
  • Design high-availability and isolation strategies across environments, services, data, compute, nodes, and availability zones; lead backup and disaster-recovery planning.
  • Develop core platform capabilities, including Linux and cloud operations, Kubernetes/EKS, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and security hardening.
  • Set production-readiness and change-management standards covering capacity, resource limits, monitoring, logging, tracing, backups, rollback plans, ownership, and release risk.
  • Lead performance and reliability investigations across infrastructure, networks, Kubernetes, databases, caches, messaging systems, and application dependencies.
  • Improve on-call practices, alerting, capacity planning, incident escalation, runbooks, and automated recovery.
  • Mentor DevOps/SRE engineers and help development teams adopt sound reliability and operational practices.
  • Communicate technical risks, priorities, architecture decisions, and recovery plans clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, cloud platforms, or production operations; technical leadership experience preferred.
  • Proven ownership of reliability in an enterprise-scale production environment.
  • Strong incident leadership: able to make decisions with incomplete information, assign clear responsibilities, keep stakeholders informed, and drive recovery.
  • Broad understanding of end-to-end service architecture, from user requests and gateways to applications, caches, messaging, databases, and third-party dependencies.
  • Strong Linux troubleshooting skills, including CPU, memory, storage, I/O, filesystems, networking, TCP, DNS, processes, and threads.
  • Production experience with AWS or another major cloud platform, including IAM, VPC, routing, security groups, load balancing, storage, DNS, CDN, WAF, and disaster recovery.
  • Production Kubernetes experience, including EKS or another managed service; familiar with scheduling, networking, storage, ingress, autoscaling, upgrades, workload isolation, and high availability.
  • Experience operating production databases and middleware such as MySQL/RDS, Redis, Kafka/MSK, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Nacos, or XXL-Job.
  • Familiarity with observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki, CloudWatch, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Proficient in Shell, with automation experience in Python or Go; hands-on experience with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Argo CD, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting payments, financial services, trading, risk, or other high-availability/high-throughput systems.
  • Direct experience recovering from large-scale node, service, disk I/O, Kubernetes, database, or cloud-network failures.
  • Experience building multi-AZ, multi-region, active-active, or disaster-recovery architectures.
  • Experience with cloud cost optimization, FinOps, capacity planning, or performance engineering.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CKA/CKS or AWS Solutions Architect/DevOps Engineer.
