We’re looking a senior engineer to lead a team to scale our multi-chain swapping/transferring product ( to tens of millions of dollars in daily volume and launch a new white-labeled user onboarding widget for app-chains and rollups to onboard hundreds of thousands of users to new app chains.
Someone who is excited about building simple, delightful interfaces to solve crypto’s hardest usability problems will get the most out of this role. The ideal candidate is an exceptionally capable frontend developer, with enough backend familiarity to contribute to API design conversations.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in building reusable React components, designing powerful frontend abstractions & typescript libraries; and optimizing every part of a user journey. Others might think this person has unreasonably high standards for code quality AND code velocity. An engineer who has frontend experience but wants to “transition to backend or smart contract engineering” will not enjoy this role. We want someone who treats frontend development as a craft.


Build, maintain, and own the frontend codebases for Skip’s core user-facing web products, including a dedicated first-party webapp and white-labeled, embeddable components
Create and lead the new, dedicated frontend team at Skip from scratch and help define its toolchain, culture, processes, and norms
Mentor more junior engineers and help them level-up
Collaborate with product leaders and executives at Skip to make strategic product and go-to-market decisions


6+ years developing production frontend code in React, Typescript, or similar
Experience designing and building mission-critical frontends from scratch, deploying them to production, and maintaining them
Deep understanding of standards & tooling around frontend deployment pipelines, including automated building, testing, and deployment
Demonstrated ability to educate and train more junior engineers
Professional or native English language proficiency
Interest in DeFi, blockchain, or cryptocurrency
Experience building frontends that integrate with crypto wallets and blockchains
Demonstrated contributions to open source frontend tooling and libraries
Ability to lead UX + UI design for small component and features in a pinch when design resources aren’t available
Compensation depends on experience and location
