Our mission is to build a more free, more fair internet with the Cosmos platform at the core. Description: We are looking for an Intermediate Software Engineer to help build the Hub of the Cosmos ecosystem.
Role
The ideal candidate is opinionated about protocol design, but also cares deeply about how the choices they make impact the developer and user experience at the application level. This person does not strictly see themselves as a protocol designer/engineer, and is comfortable building systems off-chain to support and operate on chain components. They are excited to work collaboratively with product, engineering, and customers in a fast-paced environment, and are not bothered when product requirements are iterated upon alongside development.
Role Capabilities
- Work collaboratively with engineers, product, and partners to design and implement new features on the Cosmos Hub.
- Participate in, and improve upon, the end-to-end well-being of the Hub from a stability, testing, security, and maintenance perspective.
- Develop testing and telemetry for existing and new Hub products. Propose and implement plans for removing bottlenecks at scale.
- Contribute to the success of the Cosmos Hub, the Cosmos community, and ecosystem builders.
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of software engineering experience
- Previous experience designing, delivering, and operating substantial features in an engineering capacity.
- Has been responsible for the successful deployment, operation, and maintenance of a production blockchain system at any level of the stack.
Bonus
- Interest in novel DeFi and blockchain protocols–you’re the type of person reading litepapers instead of Twitter threads.
- Experience with the Cosmos development stack (SDK/Comet).
