About the Role

Quant Developer

As a Quant Developer you will play a crucial role in systematically analyzing and quantitatively producing insights to our clients about their trade execution through TCA (Transaction Cost Analysis) pre- and post-trade. You will also drive the assessment of the algo execution strategies to support continuous mode calibrations and enhancements in accordance to client feedback and data-driven analysis.

You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, including product owners, quantitative analysts (quants) and senior managers.

Responsibilities and Duties

Data Management and Analysis

• Conduct bespoke analysis of trading data, and continuously improve the value and experience of our transaction cost analysis (TCA) platform.

• Design and prototype insightful analytics based on unique Talos data to showcase trade execution insights which will help drive client trading choices and algo wheels.

Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA)

• Generate bespoke TCA studies on best micro signals and clients trades, venue analysis, toxicity decomposition, trading algorithm performance, and more.

• Act as the point of contact for initiatives related to algo execution performance analysis.

Algorithmic Sales & Development

• Generate and analyze Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data to support sales and client success managers.

• Collaborate with Business Development to support upcoming sales meetings and client consultation.

• Collaborate with our quant team in analyzing algorithm performance and providing insights on market microstructure.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

• 3-4+ years experience working with large data sets using Python (and Pandas & Jupyter Notebook), SQL, BigQuery, KDB+.

• Experience executing workloads in pipelines using Apache Airflow, Dagster or similar.

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with a solid understanding of statistics.

• Team-player with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working with teams across multiple departments and geographies.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
